We did it again and paired up to re-create the 1994 film Thelma and Louise film. I went location scouting the Thursday before the shoot, but not before I did some initial research on google.com where I found the Livermore Valley Film Commission. There I got some great ideas. I found an old car garage on Altamont Pass Rd and another remote location on Dyer Rd that worked out perfectly for the shoot. See the behind the scenes of the crew, lighting and models. Our feature models were Kisura and Michyl.

Soldier of Fashion was the theme of this Fall Editorial shoot idea. We were inspired by Sade’s Soldier of Love song. Jaymes Marez, “The Hair Architect” was inspired by Lady Gaga to create beautifully hand crafted hair pieces. Designer Latoya Skinner of Chanel.Karma Ltd. created military inspired soft looks, incorporating leather leggings and neutral tones with a splash of 80′s inspiration. Ingrid Marayag an emerging talent that I found at Halverson Model Management created beautiful dewy make up looks that added that soft line to such hard edged fashions. Now that you have seen the behind the scenes check out the final photos.

PH balanced water is getting a lot of attention lately in the field of Alternative Health. Why is having the right PH level so important in your water? Because when our water has an alkaline balance it arms our bodies against acidic free radicals that cause cellular damage and aging.

Our bodies are made up of mostly water. Every cell requires it to carry out every function. Keeping the water you put in that body healthy plays a big role in the body’s ability to function at its best.

The following is an add for Isagenix Alkaline IsaWater drops:

One of your most basic needs. Perfected.

Drinking water is key to good health—so why not drink the best water possible? Most of us don’t realize that the water we drink, even bottled or purified may be acidic. That’s why it’s important to add IsaWATER Alkalized Concentrate to your water. By drinking alkalized water, or water with a pH level higher than 7.0, you can maximize hydration at the cellular level.

Our proprietary process delivers a stabilized alkaline concentrate. Just adding 1 mL to an eight-ounce glass of water can energize your water and provide Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) promoting the body’s overall health and wellness by neutralizing free radicals.

Available in 4 oz. bottles for your home or office. You can also purchase an empty 1 oz. travel size bottle, which you can conveniently fill and take with you when on the go.

Why IsaWater Alkalized Concentrate?*

Proprietary process delivers a stabilized alkaline concentrate.

Helps the body to efficiently cleanse away toxins

Energizes water and ensures maximum hydration at the cellular level

Helps the body to perform at optimum levels

Makes your water taste fresher

Neutralizes the harmful free radicals often found in regular drinking water

Perfect for adding to your water before mixing up your IsaLean™ Shakes, Cleanse for Life™ and Ionix® Supreme powders, IsaFruits®, IsaGreens®, or any other Isagenix product that requires water for mixing.

Bottled water in your car is very dangerous! On the Ellen show, Sheryl Crow said this is what caused her breast cancer. It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue. Sheryl Crow’s oncologist told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water. Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue. So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic! Stay safe everyone.

Are those round purple rings under a persons eyes just another inevitable sign of aging? Is it heredity, or a result of lifestyle? Well, all 3 are actually true. But, there are many things that you can do to help combat dark under eye circles to reduce the appearance, as well as slow the aging process that causes them to show. Vitamin K Good for bruising, vitamin K is an essential part of the healing process. It also helps to prevent new bruises from forming. Kiwi, spinach, avocado, and dark leafy greens are all rich in vitamin K. Vitamin A <ins datetime="2010-05-17T05:32:06+00:00"></ins>

An antioxidant that helps prevent thinning skin, among other things. Thinning of the skin contributes to the appearance of dark circles. Carrots, eggs, and cantalope, and cherries are all wonderful sources of vitamin A. Iron A lack of iron causes skin to look pale. This is just one more skin condition that draws attention to darker areas of the skin. Kidney bean, kale, raisins, prunes, and spinach are just a few of the array of iron-rich foods. Too much salt can also worsen the appearance of under eye circles. It can make the area under the eyes look puffy by causing blood vessels to engorge. So, make sure to limit table salt and be mindful of the sodium content in packaged foods.

The Sudatonic™ System, a blanket that delivers infrared heat much like a sauna, is often used as a weight loss device, but it also relieves pain and muscle tension.
According to creator Sofia Higgins, the blanket, together with a natural barrier cream and plastic sheet, promotes perspiration and re-energizes the body within 40 to 70 minutes. “It’s like going on a treadmill to boost your metabolism and to sweat.” she says.
Pregnant clients or those who have pacemakers, cardiovascular problems, high blood pressure, skin diseases or joint replacements should consult their physician before undergoing infrared blanket treatments.
The thermal sudation (sweating through thermal heat) does not make fat “leave” the body. Instead, stored fat is converted into fatty acids and used by muscles for energy. The heating of the body and need to cool down through perspiration must be fueled by energy, this fuel comes from the converted fatty acids (now energy) that was released by the fat cells. Not only is there fat loss and cellulite reduction but many added health benefits such as muscular, rheumatoid and arthritic pain relief, enhanced immune system, cardiac conditioning and elimination of toxins. There is an advantage of having infrared closer to the body compared to the conventional infrared sauna because it is a deeper penetration.

How Water Benefits Your Skin

Few things are as good as water for keeping your skin in shape. Water keeps skin hydrated, reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It helps cells take up

nutrients and purge toxins. And water improves circulation and blood flow, keeping your skin glowing.

Follow your thirst, or aim for about eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day

Selenium for Your Skin

Selenium is a trace mineral that may help protect skin cells from free radical damage. It may also play a role in skin cancer prevention.

Excellent sources of selenium include Brazil nuts, button mushrooms, shrimp, lamb, and fish such as snapper, cod, halibut, tuna, and salmon. Selenium is also found in cooked beef, light turkey meat, oysters, sardines, crab, and whole-wheat pasta.

CoQ10: Coenzyme Q10

CoQ10 is a powerful antioxidant made naturally in your body. It protects skin and other body cells from the damages of free radicals. CoQ10 is also involved in energy production and immune system function.

The main food sources of CoQ10 include oily fish such as salmon and tuna, organ meats such as liver, and whole grains.

Antioxidants for Healthy Cells

Antioxidants prevent or slow the damage done to cells by free radicals. This damage contributes to signs of aging, such as wrinkles and dry skin.
Antioxidants can be found in all kinds of foods, especially colorful fruits and vegetables such as berries, tomatoes, apricots, beets, squash, spinach, sweet potato, tangerines, peppers, and beans.

Vitamin A for Skin Repair

Want to steer clear of dry, flaky skin? Grab an orange, a carrot, or a slice of cantaloupe.

These fruits and vegetables are loaded with vitamin A, which helps hydrate the lower layers of the skin. Other good food sources of vitamin A include leafy greens, eggs, and low-fat dairy such as cheese and milk.

Vitamin C: Power Over the Sun

Vitamin C helps protect skin from the sun. It also helps undo damage done by free radicals, which destroy skin-firming fibers such as collagen and elastin.

Excellent sources of vitamin C include red bell peppers, citrus fruits, papaya, kiwi, broccoli, greens, and brussel sprouts.

Vitamin E: Booster of Skin Health

Vitamin E is another antioxidant that may help shield your skin from damage done by the sun. Vitamin E is also an anti-inflammatory and immunity enhancer.
Vitamin E is found in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, olives, spinach, asparagus, olives, and leafy greens in small amounts.
